Hi, I'mHasan Smadi
I build digital systems and platforms that power real businesses.
Founder of BlendLab, where I work on building products and digital infrastructure. Previously built and experimented with platforms such as Tesaa, and systems powering operations and booking platforms for companies like Rotana Star. Here I share ideas about building companies, designing systems, and the future of digital economies.
About Me
I'm a founder and builder focused on creating digital systems, platforms, and products that power real businesses.
Over the past years I've worked on building and experimenting with different types of digital projects — from media platforms to business infrastructure and technology ventures.
Great companies are not built by ideas alone, but by the systems that make those ideas work.
Today my work revolves around designing digital systems and platforms that help businesses operate, grow, and scale.

The Internet Doesn't Need More Apps
The real problem today is not finding software—it's navigating the complexity created by too many tools. What we need is better infrastructure.
What Building a Booking System Taught Me About Businesses
A booking system forces a company to define its operations with clarity. What you're building is a model of how the business works—and that reveals a lot.
Most Companies Don't Need More Marketing
Many companies do not actually need more marketing. They need better systems. Here's why and what to focus on instead.
What It Takes to Build a Digital Platform
Building a platform is very different from building a simple product. Platforms operate as ecosystems—and that complexity is often underestimated.
What Building Real Systems Taught Me About Business
The real lessons about business don't come from ideas—they come from building systems that have to work every day.
"Ideas don't build companies. Systems do."
The way I think about building companies and systems has been shaped by years of experimenting with digital platforms, infrastructure, and business systems.
Across different industries, I've noticed a recurring pattern:
Most ideas fail not because they are bad, but because the systems behind them are weak.
This perspective shapes how I approach building products, companies, and technology.
Core Principles
Systems Over Ideas
Ideas are everywhere. Execution is rare. What separates successful companies from failed ones is not the brilliance of their ideas, but the strength of the systems that make those ideas repeatable. A good system can turn an average idea into a working business.
Build Things That Work
I'm less interested in theory and more interested in building things that actually operate in the real world. Platforms, products, and systems should be designed around how businesses really function — not how we imagine they should.
Long-Term Thinking
Technology evolves quickly, but strong systems are built with long-term thinking. Short-term gains often come at the expense of stability and scalability. The goal is to build infrastructure that can support growth over time.
Simplicity Scales
Complex systems tend to break. The best systems are often the simplest ones — clearly designed, structured, and easy to maintain. Scalable systems are not complicated; they are well designed.
